When it comes to infection prevention in healthcare environments, there is no simpler or more effective way to prevent the spread of germs than proper hand hygiene. We carry over 3,000 different bacteria on our hands, and transmit them frequently and easily on the numerous surfaces we interact with throughout the day. By improving awareness of and adherence to CDC hand hygiene recommendations, we can unravel myths and misconceptions, and empower individuals to play an active role in hand hygiene.
